More about this digital file
Description
Part of the anemone family, windflowers originated in China and bloom in late summer and early autumn, the foliage dying down completely in winter and returning in the spring. Depicted here in raised and surface embroidery techniques, the stunning flowers feature a prominent green centre fringed with a ring of bright yellow stamens. The flower petals are softly shaded from dusky rose to white and the spray of blooms is tied with an organza ribbon.
