Description
Inspired by the unique silk and goldwork techniques used in a late 16th century embroidered crown, this superb study of a flowering pea plant offers a unique insight into the stitching practices of past centuries.
Lustrous silk and gleaming metal threads have been layered to create delicate surface textures and a variety of finishes capture the beauty of the plump pea pods.
Worked onto a background of ivory silk satin, delicate coiled tendrils add a perfect finishing touch.
