More about this digital file
Description
The architecture, textiles and patterns of Central and West Asia have influenced design all over the world and served as inspiration for this lavish beaded mat.
Worked using Japanese-style bead embroidery techniques, the colour palette of gold and silver, with a touch of red, reflects the splendour of the building that inspired it.
The sparkling beads are complemented by extensive goldwork, outlining the main segments of this rich, quartered design.
