Description
In this design the fish, symbolising a harmonious marriage, are combined with the lotus blossom, the symbol of purity and continuous harmony. ‘Prosperity’ will provide practise in stitching fish, one of the most challenging motifs to embroider.
The lotus plant presents the opportunity to stitch multi-petal flowers and its large leaves will challenge the embroiderer in technique, stitch execution and colour blending. A small dragonfly provides a different insect to embroider.
Additionally, the combination of principles of different stitch techniques is called for in various circumstances, expanding the embroiderer’s repertoire.
