Description
Inspired by a stunning 18th century study by painter and naturalist Maria Sibylla Merian, Fiona has cleverly created this elegant raised embroidery of a golden pineapple and colourful insects.
Worked onto silk satin, the embroidery utilises a number of unusual and inventive techniques that bring the image to life.
