Description
Anchored with the emblematic Tudor rose, this beautiful mirror frame is stitched using silk thread onto ivory silk satin with a symmetrical design of daffodils, heartsease, cornflowers, peas, daisies, honeysuckle and strawberries, interspersed with gold-toned leaves and sinuous stems.
A fine outline of gold thread is couched around each flower, leaf and fruit, and tiny metal paillettes catch the light to add a subtle sparkle.
The embroidery is edged with beaded filets, surrounded by an ivory mount and framed with gold.
