More about this digital file
Description
Thick cotton threads and smooth cotton jean fabric are the basic requirements for Mountmellick embroidery but it is the plants and flowers that were found around this Irish town in the early 19th century that provided inspiration for the delightful stitching that originated there.
A form of whitework, Mountmellick embroidery is quick to work and this charming sachet is the perfect project as an introduction to this technique or when looking for a pretty gift to stitch.
