Description
Explore the intricacies of traditional Japanese goldwork and bead embroidery with this superb box insert design of a stylised flower.
Worked onto dark brown silk taffeta with a combination of gold and silver threads, the shimmering metal thread embroidery is enhanced with outlines and decorative bands of intricate beading, echoing the colours and sparkling surface of the stitches.
In contrast to the heavily stitched and beaded motif, the background is filled with an even scattering of brown iris metallic beads in two sizes.
