More about this digital file
Description
Based on a watercolour by Pierre-Joseph Redouté, this delightful study captures the graceful form of both the flowers and the opening buds, radiating from the top of the long stem.
Stitched with stranded cotton onto white linen, vibrant shades of coral and burnt orange are used to work the tepals, contrasting beautifully with the chartreuse and antique violet used in the stem and bracts.
