More about this digital file
Description
Led by poet and designer William Morris, the nineteenth century Arts & Crafts movement was dedicated to recapturing the spirit and quality workmanship of medieval art and was strongly influenced by nature.
Echoing the beautiful floral designs typical of Morris, this trio of workbox, pincushion and scissor sheath are decorated with sinuous, curving stems and colourful lilies, all worked onto a background of dark navy.
Palestrina stitch is used to neatly finish the seams and the workbox and pincushion are tied with dark violet twisted cords.
