Description
Make a cup of tea a special occasion with this charming tea cosy, embellished with a delightful bird and flower design worked in Deerfield embroidery.
Originating in the 19th century in the Massachusetts town of Deerfield, this lovely needlework style borrows heavily from European crewelwork but employs lighter, more open designs and a limited palette of blue and white.
Four shades of blue stranded cotton are used on a background of white linen and the cosy is finished with a fun bobble fringe around the curved outer edge.
