More about this digital file
Description
An excellent introduction to crewel embroidery, the case is made from linen twill, backed and lined with a gentle cotton print. Pomegranates, berries and an assortment of unusual blooms grow from the stem. Several graceful leaves are stitched at the base using a variety of traditional crewel stitches. Stranded cotton is used in combination with wool thread to give interest to the surface of the stitching.
