Lively lorikeet brooch with metal thread embroidery and organdie feathers.
Description
Take your metal thread embroidery to a new level by working this spectacular three-dimensional lorikeet brooch.
Worked over felt padding, the breast and body are covered with straight and looped lengths of smooth purl in shades of olive and lime.
The wing and tail feathers, cut from hand-coloured organdie, are finished at the base with glittering chips of bright check purl and the head is worked with a combination of surface embroidery, appliqué and metal thread work.
