More about this digital file
Description
The tasseled and beaded fringe of this pincushion was inspired by the embroidered cover of a Palestinian kohl container from the mid nineteenth century.
The pincushion is embroidered with traditional Palestinian ‘Fallahi’ cross stitch motifs and decorated with beaded tassels – a common feature that embellished embroidered dresses and accessories.
