Description
Few periods in history can rival Elizabethan England for the opulent use of magnificent floral embroidery.
Captured in these two silk embroideries are four favourite subjects and a little of the wonderful style of sixteenth century stitching.
Both embroideries are bordered in gold silk thread and have a subtle background quilted in diamonds. Tiny gold paillettes and knots of metallic thread capture the light and add a lively sparkle.
