Description
The vibrant coneflower, Echinacea purpurea, is the subject of this spectacular study, combining surface embroidery for the background flowers with a large foreground bloom stitched with stumpwork techniques.
Hand-painted fabric creates an ideal background and the vivid colours of the flowers sing against the softly muted shades of watercolour.
Worked with stranded cottons, this charming picture is sure to brighten up even the dullest day.
