Description
Complementary shades, red and green have been the colours of Christmas for many centuries and the association is thought to have originated with the ancient Celts who decorated their homes with berry laden holly to celebrate the winter solstice.
Equally as appealing now, they have been used to decorate this charming duo of biscornu pincushion and drawstring bag.
Utilising cotton threads and winter white linen, the counted thread design incorporates some unusual stitches and is enhanced with tiny gold beads.
