Description
The instructions for this design are provided in the book 'The Art of Chinese Embroidery 2 | Intermediate Level' as a tutorial lesson to teach the basics of Random Stitch Embroidery.
Too beautiful to leave just as an instructional exercise, we have released ‘A Pair of Random Apples’ as a Ready-To-Stitch kit which you can use to practice the stitches and concepts introduced in Random Stitch Embroidery, and create a stunning finished design at the same time.
Each apple is the same design, but stitched in two different ways:
• Apple 1 is worked with longer and more acute crossing of stitches following the contour of the shape to produce a realistic effect.
• Apple 2 is worked with stitches that are more open to replicate an oil painting of the image.
