World Needlework Convention | England 2023

3RD FEBRUARY 2023 - ASU #364

In November 2019 we released the following statement:

It’s no secret that Inspirations Studios is all about publishing the world’s most beautiful needlework. It’s also no secret that Needlework Tours, run by Simon and Maureen Laughlin, is all about taking people who love needlework to some of the most beautiful locations in the world to stitch.

Imagine what would happen if both companies partnered to take some of the world’s most beautiful needlework to some of the world’s most beautiful places in the world, and you could join them?

That’s exactly what’s happening, and it’s called the World Needlework Convention.

Today we’re thrilled to announce that after cancelling our original plans for this event due to COVID, we’re now launching The World Needlework Convention in 2023.

We’d love you to join us as we meet in England for the inaugural World Needlework Convention 5th to the 15th of October 2023. That’s right… this year!

What can you expect?

Hosted over 11 days this event is an extravagant affair taking in the very best that England has to offer. You’ll enjoy staying at two stunning hotels, the Paddington Hilton in London and the palacial mansion that is Luton Hoo where Queen Elizabeth II enjoyed her honeymoon.

Needlework Tours are bringing together some of the best tutors from around the world to teach exquisite projects at both locations across 3 two-day classes.

In between each two-day class you’ll enjoy day trips to spectaular destinations such as Alexandra Palace (known as Ally Pally to the locals) where we’ll be just in time to attend the famous ‘Knitting & Stitching Show’.

We have also arranged for a private tour of Parham House, an Elizabethan architectural splendour, which boasts a wonderful array of embroidery, furniture, paintings, textiles and more.

Not to mention all the sumptuous food, world class hospitality, evening lectures and maybe even a little Inspirations magazine celebrating 30 years something, something while we’re all together.

Who should attend?

If you love the best of the best in both needlework and travel experiences, the World Needlework Convention was made just for you!

Also, for anyone who has been yearning for Beating Around the Bush to return, this is a wonderful alternative to consider.

At the heart of the event, the World Needlework Convention is all about taking your love of needle and thread to a whole new level. We’re beyond excited about it and can’t wait to see you in England in October this year.
