‘Just wanted to share my journey with the kit I received from Inspirations for Nature’s Delight that I started about 10 months or so ago.’
‘A friend also did the project at the same time and we enjoyed each other’s journey although she finished a bit ahead of me, my excuse is I have a new granddaughter!’
‘I thoroughly enjoyed the project, the directions were fabulous, and now it will be off to the framers.’
‘Thank you to the Inspirations team for such wonderful kits.’
Ruth, thank you so much for sharing your journey with us. It is absolutely wonderful to hear you enjoyed working on Nature’s Delight by Colleen Goy and even better having had the opportunity to share the experience with your friend. This has been a very popular project indeed and it’s a great achievement to have completed it, which once framed, will look spectacular wherever you chose to display it. Oh, and congratulations on your new granddaughter!

‘I had been reading numerous articles online about 'Kawandi' stitching and was curious enough to think it might translate into one of my landscapes.’
‘I tried to combine a landscape with the Kawandi technique by adding an old truck, which I blended into the background with lots of hand embroidery stitches. The line of fall trees that I created was a challenge that I overcame by cutting from a bit of yardage I had in my stash.’
We love the creative idea to mix the technique with the subject of a landscape, Mary Anne. The truck in the foreground has been blended beautifully into the scene and we can see the care and attention to detail that went into the piece. The colours are beautiful!

‘I just adore your magazine and newsletter, and I wanted to share a couple of photos of my version of Perfect Pink by Di Kirchner.’
‘Di's colour choices were amazing, but I didn't have them, so I had to adapt. Given I had recently received a box of DMC Eco Vita wool, I used them.’
‘I really enjoyed working with the Eco Vita and I think the result isn't half bad. Hopefully, my friend who received it as a present agrees!
Thanks again for all your hard work and beautiful magazine and newsletter! They make my heart sing and are something I eagerly look forward to!’
Thank you for your kind words Teresa, it is wonderful to hear that the magazine and newsletter bring you so much stitching joy. Your adaptation of Perfect Pink is splendid! You have supplemented the colours beautifully and we love that you have constructed a box from the design – very clever. What a lucky friend you have!
Have you completed one of our Inspirations Ready-to-Stitch kits? Have you stitched using the Kawandi technique? Or have you substituted threads of a project to suit your stash
Whatever you are stitching, we’d love to see it! Email photos of what you’ve created with needle and thread along with a few details about your stitching journey to news@inspirationsstudios.com
