‘Here is my Avonlea Moth that I recently got back from the framer. I loved Nicola Jarvis' book Life in Seasons from the moment I received it. Gorgeous projects, lovely writing about Nicola's inspirations for the projects, and beautiful photography! (as with all of your Inspirations books!)’
‘I've ordered several of the kits for the projects in the book and started with working the Moth. So delicate & pretty! And with Nicola's excellent instructions provided, I was able to confidently stitch the moth even though I am mainly a counted thread stitcher! I'm looking forward to working more of these lovely designs!’
Julie, thank you very much for your kind words. We absolutely loved working with Nicola to showcase her expansive creative talent and we’re so glad you found inspiration from those pages! You have stitched the Avonlea Moth beautifully and we look forward to seeing which projects you choose to stitch next.

‘Just thought you may like to see my Warwickshire Hare by Nicola Jarvis from her book Life in Seasons, which I have just finished and had framed. I just love him and he is now ready to send to my great granddaughter!’
‘I am now working on the Milverton Mallard. Thank you for the lovely book and kits.’
Pat, your Warwickshire Hare is so handsome! Your stitching is truly wonderful, you have captured his expression in stitch beautifully. We’re sure your great granddaughter will cherish this piece for many years to come.

‘My name is Gaye Collins, from Vancouver, BC. I’ve enjoyed creating all my life but just recently returned to embroidery, particularly threadpainting.’
‘I love to experiment and try all types of styles. This piece measures approximately 22 cm by 22 cm (8.5” x 8.5”) and uses DMC cotton thread with a variety of strands. It’s wrapped around a cradle board for display. I called it by a couple of names; Eat, Pray, Brey and Don-key and finally Don-keyote.’
We’re so please you’ve returned to embroidery, Gaye, as your donkey is delightful. We love all the different textures you’ve achieved on its face and all your clever names! Well done.
Have you stitched a project from Nicola Jarvis’s Life in Seasons? Have you had a recent project framed? Or have recently returned to stitching?
Whatever you are stitching, we’d love to see it! Email photos of what you’ve created with needle and thread along with a few details about your stitching journey to news@inspirationsstudios.com
