When it comes to selecting the projects to appear in our wall calendar, it is never an easy process for our team to agree on 12 final projects. With so many to choose from, 12 never seems to be enough!
In the end the final candidates are chosen based on the compelling image first and foremost. If the project also happens to be one of our more popular ones, that’s an added bonus.
And so it was with the October poster child, Bumblebee by Trish Burr.
Not only did Bumblebee have a beautiful photograph taken, it is an extremely popular project to stitch as well.
Adding to its popularity, Bumblebee will soon be in everyone’s home when it’s time to turn to the October page of the calendar in a few days, plus the project also appears in a book for the first time, thanks to the recently released Handpicked Collection 2.
If you are yet to create your own Bumblebee the instructions are available in print or digital, and we also have the design pre-printed on fabric sold separately if you want to use the threads from your own stash.
